Rhino WIP Feature: Create New Hatch Pattern Command

Note : This guide requires the Rhino 9 WIP. This is a work in progress meaning that it is meant for testing and should not be used for project critical production work. The Rhino 9 WIP is available to anyone that owns Rhino 8.

The new command HatchPattern is a command to create a new hatch pattern that is made up of a series of repeat tiles.

HatchPattern Command Options

Start by creating a tile rectangle and the curves that make up the pattern.

  1. Add, Delete, Import - In this case use Add a new pattern.
  2. Select a tile rectangle
  3. Select Curves for pattern - These need to be planar. All curves will be broken down into lines before being added to the hatch pattern.
  4. Name - Name for the Hatch Pattern. If the name allready exists, the replacement is possible.
