Rhino WIP: Export PDF with special characters breaks kerning

Hi,

I’m having problems with exporting PDF’s that contains swedish characters ÅÄÖ. The spacing between letters/kerning breaks. This problem doesn’t happen in Rhino 8.

If the text im exporting doesn’t contain a special character that text remains fine.

Tried exporting Rhino PDF and Acrobat PDF, same problem.

First screenshot is from inside Rhino WIP, everything looks fine. Second is the exported PDF. I’ve also included the test file. Any help is greatly appreciated, as of now I can’t use Rhino WIP because of this.

Thanks for reporting. I’ve put this on the list as RH-92110 Print: PDF Output Triggers Kerning
I’m seeing the same in Rhino 8, though, running (8.29.26033.22001, 2026-02-02). Which version of Rhino 8 are you using?

Thanks for the reply! Hope it gets resolved soon so I can start trying Rhino WIP :slight_smile:
