Rhino v6 FBX export not opening in v5

When exporting FBX out of v6, I can’t seem to open it in v5, regardless if it is exported out as FBX version 6 or 7. It also failed to import in Maya, ZBrush, and Sketchup. Is it some new format, or it is just not functioning correctly?
