Rhino Thickness

Hi, Is there a way to apply a separate material to the surfaces created using the thickness option? I’m looking for something similar to using the solidify modifier in Blender

You can use sub-selection (ctrl+shift) to apply different materials within the same objects

Hi Mats - the thickness mesh modifier is a render-time thing - you could ExtractRenderMesh and take it from there but you’d be dealing with a mesh- you’d need to explode it assign matarials etc to the parts if they should be different…

Sounds like it’s not possible without extracting the render mesh and that kinda defeats the purpose. It would be a great feature to have. I use the solidify modifier in blender all the time.
