Rhino struggles when "choose objects" pop up

When Rhino 8 displays the “Choose Objects” dialog (for example, when multiple objects overlap), the program becomes unresponsive for several seconds. This issue appeared today without any changes to my setup, no new plugins or hatch patterns have been added. Aside from this, overall performance remains normal.
