Rhino shuts down automatically: "Unable to load XR.Rhino.Plugin.rhp"

Hi everyone,

I’m having a problem with Rhino 7 that started today. After launching Rhino, everything initially works fine, but after a short time (even without starting Grasshopper), Rhino prompts me to save the file and then shuts down automatically.

When I restart Rhino, I receive the following error message: “Unable to load XR.Rhino.Plugin.rhp plug-in: initialization failed.”

Clicking on Details provides this information: "Please contact the plug-in vendor to get the latest version:

Vendor: Fologram…"

This issue just started happening today, and before that, everything was working fine. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this, or should I try to update or remove the Fologram plugin?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, @Til_Frank. Start by seeing if Rhino 7 starts correctly using Rhino 7 in Safe Mode (application icon, searchable in Windows’ taskbar / start menu). If that works, then go to Tools > Options > Plug-ins and uncheck (disable) Fologram and/or uninstall Fologram in Windows. It also looks like you can click “Never load this plug-in again” in the pop-up window you posted.
