Rhino Setup Help

Hi,

I’ve just bought and downloaded the new Rhinowanting, I’m having some trouble with the setup. I want my toolbars, well actually my whole screen set up like the image below. I’m seeing this setup across many youtube tutorials and it seems the most intuitive and accessible for quickly going about modelling. I’m not sure why this wasn’t automatically set up like this. I’d be super grateful if someone could tell me how to get mine like this! Many thanks in advance.

That looks like the completely standard (default) Rhino V8 setup in dark mode to me…

Sorry that’s the example of what I’m after. Mine after downloading didn’t have that setup at all. I’ve tried making my own left-hand toolbar, thinking maybe you have to do it manually but that can’t be right. there mist be an easier/straight forward way?

Is there anyway to reset and get it like the setup above?

Mine looks like this.

Hello- - to nest toolbars - grouped into a container like at the top default toolbar, drag them on top of one another by the tab - is that what you mean?

Hi!

Thanks for your reply. That is useful for part of the issue, thank you. Now I just want to get rid of the added containers (please see marked in red on screenshot) I can get rid of them manually by dragging them out and exiting them off. However, when I start a new project they all appear right back there. I wish for the setup to remain like the second sceeenshot (please see marked in green). I’ve gone into Rhino8, settings, toolbars and unselected all. the only options selected are the ones in the screenshot.

Many thanks

Hi -

Close all but one Rhino documents.
Run the WindowLayout command and restore the Default Window Layout.

After having taken the steps I mentioned and you exit Rhino, is the window layout no longer the same as it was when you exited Rhino?

Hi

That’s worked great! Thank you very much!
