To revolve around an axis, we need the profile to not be a __
Is this a question from a school assignment or exam?
nah the profile can be a ___
assignment for rhino
bro im serious please help regarding same
I thought maybe that meant ‘line’ or ‘curve’ ?
tried it it’s incorrect
It’s a trick question because it implies one answer but the answer can be many things.
looks like you edited it though, 'not be a ___ ’
this is what ai says but it doesn’t make sense imo, it probaly hallucinated:
“To revolve around an axis, we need the profile to not be a closed curve.”
cause I’m pretty sure there’s scenarios where you can revolve a closed curve lol.
so it’s a bad question imo, unless it implies hidden requisites and mind reading.
scholastic institutions usually require the student to be on the same page as the homework assignments and hence the trick/bad questions the exams usually have.
it’s incorrect
I didn’t think it was. lol
maybe: “To revolve around an axis, we need the profile to not be on the axis.”
or
“To revolve around an axis, we need the profile to not be a closed curve that lies on the axis of revolution.”
“This ensures the profile can generate a solid or surface when revolved.”
basically there’s hidden meaning behind the question, cause you can revolve many scenarios that would succeed in revolution but not necessarily be ideal in outcome.
nope it’s incorrect
Well the profile needs to not be a lot of things… a point, a surface, a mesh, the kitchen sink - it needs to not be anything except a valid curve.
Very poorly worded question for an assignment.
… mess
curve mirrored on the same axis?
To revolve around an axis, we need the profile to not be …
…a hyper-toroidal bifurcation of subsonic quantum entanglements, as this would induce anomalous phase shifts in the curvature tensor, ultimately destabilizing the gyroscopic harmonicity of the rotational matrix.
non-axisymmetric curve?
I can’t say what “we need the profile to not be”. When I make a revolve I need profile curve and axis to lie on the same plane. Without that you will get a twisted revolve.
You have to be careful because Rhino excepts any curve as input. It will even take a curve that will make a bad object like when the profile curve is a line lying exactly on the axis.
