I don’t usually use Rhino render, as we already have an external render software. However, we have to use Rhino Render for this one. Currently I’m using the Legacy Rhino Render because the raytracing one produces hopeless results.
My problem is the rendered viewport shows excellent textures on the rippled water texture, and I have added an environment with HDRI for the background. However, when I render this using the Legacy Rhino Render, the textures tones down a lot. Please let me know what I can do to produce the same results as the viewport.
If you are using a bump map instead of a normal map you need probably to increase in Tools > Options > Advanced the settings BumpStrengthFactor and BumpDistance. Try 10 and 100 respectively. Each time you change these values either rerender or toggle away and back to Raytraced mode.
