Rhino Plug In Failure - rdk_ui.rhp

Im having random error popups when trying to open multiple files in rhino. These are small files (28k) consisting of curves only. The file not loading is rdk_ui.rhp.

Seems to be a conflict between the DWG file load and the Plugin. Only happens when loading multiple files from Explorer (4 or 5 at a time).

Have been working around this for about 2 years now and thought I’d ask if maybe there is a solution?

Rhino+PlugIn_Failure_to_Load

In Options > Plug-ins, are all 3 of these plug-ins Enabled and Loaded?

Yes John, they are loaded and enabled.

It must have to do with timing the loading of the plug-ins in each instance of Rhino.
They have a specific order.

Thanks for taking a look. Anything workaround I can do for that on my end?

My guess is loading the additional files/instances one at a time will avoid the problem.
If the timers are stretched out to wait longer, then every Rhino instance would take longer to load. Probably not the best option.

Hello - do you mean you are opening multiple sessions of Rhino more or less at the same time?

@pascal
Yes, that’s what I understood.

Yes, after editing, the files are reviewed in groups. Usually 4 or 5 are selected and “opened in Rhino” from Explorer. Works fine about 50% of the time depending on the file size. It most definitely feels like a “timing” issue when it doesn’t work. Im sure it would be easy to replicate the error as it is very consistent on this end.

One observation that might be of value. I never see the load error at the start of each day (cold reboot). It starts happening after the 2nd+ attempt at opening multiple files (of the day). Memory leak maybe?

I am not seeing any errors so far…

Hello- I would test with Vray blocked in Options > Plug-ins page. (Close and reopen Rhino).
Any different?

Maybe a system difference? I have a coworker with the same system and has the same issue.

Thank you Pascal. Did some extensive testing with the Vray plugin blocked and no more issues. Thank you sir!

I spoke to soon. Its now blaming both 3dxrhino.rhp & rdk_ui.rhp
