Rhino not loading on my laptop

Hi there. I’ve recently been using Rhino for the past year and this year once I download Rhino it wont seem to load the app. Are you able to help me out at all. I tried looking at a thread where it said to change the graphics on the display settings and I’m not too sure where to go from here.

Hi @102519692
First thing to do, is to see if Rhino will run in Safe Mode. Go to the Windows Start button and look/search for Rhino 6/7 in Safe Mode. If Rhino succesfully starts, type the command SystemInfo in Rhino and copy/paste the resulting text here - that will give us an idea of what might be going on.
HTH, Jakob

Hi Jakob.

Every time I click on Rhino and click “repair” my computer will re-start and run Rhino. Otherwise it still wont run in safemode.

Kind regards,

Sarah

Hi @102519692
Both your graphics drivers are 3½ years old, which is a lot in terms of graphics drivers. If you upgrade them, there’s a good chance that your system should work. Both Intel and Nvidia have much more recent drivers. In general, you should probably check for updates every 3-4 months as a minimum. Also here’s link to @theoutside’s brilliant write-up on what to beware of with hybrid graphics systems: Soooo, you bought a laptop with hybrid graphics and rhino doesn't run right. READ THIS
Cheers, Jakob

Edit: Here are links for both drivers
