Rhino model and CAM processing

Means sh…t
yep, I think that is last option, generating toolpath in MadCam or Solidworks with biesse postprocesor then import in bsolid on machine.
That’s another workflow,
If that wil work, I wil sent that model like .step file to Biesse and demand some solution

Thanks for your suggestion, Florian.

Thank you all for the answers.

Best regards

You hit the nail on the head there. Making your own toolpaths is difficult, and I understand why good cam software is expensive and good posts are fiddly to set up. Worth it though when it works! (Here’s one that didn’t) Dharman Gersch on Instagram: "Cnc in action. #Gcode generated entirely in #grasshopper3d using my #termitecnc plugin. #wip #bamboo"

It works. I often use mesh geometry (for topography models) because the file size is less then NURBS geometry. madCAM can definitly generate toolpaths from mesh geometry. I know that CREO or the former ProE also had issues with mesh geometry. And bSolid is definitly not a cutting edge CAD software…

If you should need former information let me know.

Nice

I will try with that or with solidworks,
I’ll telll yout the results.

Florian,
can u help me find post processor for biesse rover c in madcam?
I cant find him.

Hello Dharman,
I am curious about your tool for generating g-code for a 5-axis biesse. We have a 5-axis Biesse at our educational centre, and I would love to explore this workflow. If you are still happy to share your code, I would gladly take a look and see if we could make it work here.
