Rhino Mac 8.5.24072.13002 not starting after installation

After installing the latest version, Rhino 8 Mac stalls at this initial pop-up window. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and it still gets stuck here every time.

I have Rhino 7 also installed and working fine.

Is there a simple fix for this?

can you check if you have read & write priveleges on the license folders?

Yes, I’ve tried it and I am still getting the same problem… tried uninstalling and re-installing again as well.

Is there any other information I can provide to help you identify the problem?

The solution was:

  1. uninstall
  2. manually delete all existing (including hidden ones) Rhino 8.0 folders in /Users
  3. reinstall
