Do you by chance have a setting somewhere that disables TLS 1.0 connections? I think that we recently fixed Rhino to use TLS 1.2 by default. Are you running 6.14 or newer?

Thanks Brian but no Joy TLS 1.0 is enabled, IPV6 disabled and the latest version of Rhino 6. Still not working

Hi @jstevenson, Here’s a possible workaround you might try. I don’t know if it will help as I don’t have the problem myself… Right click the windows icon and open ‘Windows PowerShell (Admin)’. At the PS prompt type (or paste) netsh http show iplisten and hit return. This will almost certainly return an empty list. If it should show a double colon :: stop now and exit powershell, you already have the setting I am suggesting. Otherwise at the PS prompt type netsh http add iplisten ip…

I recommend you check to see if you have a Hyper-V Virtual Network Adapter, or to be safe disable all adapters except for the Ethernet Adapter (Wifi or otherwise) that you need. And try again. Solved my issue.

Thanks for the advice Jason, tried that and still no luck but I would have to say a big thanks for the reply as you are trying to help, unlike McNeel. I very rarely use the word DISGRACEFUL but i am now with Rhino support. Still no official contact, and get asked to reboot on a forum post ?? FFS, I have paid IT companies to check everything at my end but they cannot find any issue. Response from McNeel (Including emailing the boss) - NOTHING except it is fine and sunny at there end, what about my job ? After my loyal support for years, i’m now turning. A bit of service goes a long way

Should I presume you are indicating that this didn’t help? I know it didn’t work for Jason.

This workaround was Microsoft’s best recommendation for 15005 events in a different context. Given they struggle to understand the cause, the rest of us can only expect to fluke it.

Next idea: are you running any sort of VOIP phone/conferencing software on your PC?

So just to clarify you do not have OpenVPN installed? Or Hyper-V enabled as a Windows Feature?

If you have either of those configured or installed, I’d try uninstalling OpenVPN client, removing Hyper-V Feature, and reboot. Good luck friend.

Hi. I have this same issue.

Disabling Hyper-V Network adapters and stopping the service from running hasn’t solved the issue for me. I have also tried a variety of firewall rules. I haven’t tried to wireshark it yet but assume it’s the same issue.

Has anyone found any solutions?
