Rhino keep on crashing. i cant open rhino at all since the latest update

What exactly was updated? MacOS or Rhino?

Are you running any 3rd Party GH/Rhino plugins?

I was working and rhino ask me to update rhino lastest version and i click okay than rhino wouldnā€™t work any more.

Do you have the previous installer available? The report mentions 8.28, is that the old or the new?

I not too sure but i redownload from the internet maybe that is the newest version

I will send you an older and newer version, ideally a install will resolve it. If not we should clean everything out and try again fresh.

There have been a couple similar reports but no clear pattern.

Uninstall Rhino and then clear out all the remaining support files, be sure to clear the trash after.

To manually uninstall Rhino for Mac (complete removal):

1. Delete the Application Drag Rhinoceros.app from /Applications to the Trash.

2. Remove Application Support Files Delete the Rhino folder from: ~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/

3. Remove Preferences Delete the preferences plist file(s) from: ~/Library/Preferences/ ā€” look for files starting with com.mcneel.rhinoceros (e.g. com.mcneel.rhinoceros8.plist)

4. Remove Caches ~/Library/Caches/ ā€” look for any com.mcneel.rhinoceros folders

5. Remove Logs (optional) ~/Library/Logs/ ā€” any McNeel/Rhinoceros logs

To access the hidden ~/Library folder in Finder, hold Option and click the Go menu ā€” ā€œLibraryā€ will appear.

Hi, Im having the same problem that is apparently caused by a plugin. Can you tell me if there is any other location that rhino plugins are installed? Ive completely cleaned out my plugins folder and still having crashing issues.

I deleted all the McNeel files under Application Support and removed the Rhino application. After reinstalling version 8.29, everything is working properly now. Thank you!

Do you have hidden folders visible? Rhino for Mac plugins will be in the default folder.

Does anything appear in Console.app, Crash Reports for Rhino crash logs?

My hidden folder were not visibleā€¦ they are now because I googled what a hidden folder was and how to make it visible. Is that where I would find the ā€˜defaultā€™ folder? Because it isnā€™t there.

Found the Console appā€¦. yes there are 1000 Rhino crash reports in there.
