yesterday I update my Rhino 6 to Rhino 6.4 as I was asked to do when I exit the Rhino.
This morning I have nothing related to Rhino on my computer.
Need any help!!!
That’s really strange.
Rhino has no way to uninstall itself.
Is there a possibility that your system was rolled back to a previous, “pre-Rhino” state?
Is your computer managed by an IT department?
I’d find the answers to that before installing Rhino again if that’s an option.
Dear John Brock.
Thank you for your quick response.
My computer is a private new laptop which I purchase 5 month ago in order to learn Rhino.
I started my course using rhino evaluation for 90 days, and a month ago I bought a license.
So I have no IT department.
The situation is so strange, that when I try to search anything in my computer using the word rhino, nothing come up.
Looks like everything related to rhino evaporate.
Hi @shmueliyoram - Check to see if you have a Rhino 6 shortcut in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Rhino 6. Also check your Windows’ Add / Remove programs. Is Rhino 6 listed?
As I say, nothing related to the word Rhino is available in my computer.
5 minutes ago I have managed to download the Rhino 6 and install again using my rhino key code.
It looks that it works fine. I hope it will continue like that.
I wonder if Rhino needed to restart your computer to complete the installation, but didn’t tell you. Please restart Windows and see if the installation completes and puts Rhino on your computer.
If not, you can download anew from https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino-for-windows/6/latest
Also, I’d love to see the install logs from your computer. Here’s how:
- Open My Computer
- Paste %temp% into the address bar and press Enter
- Sort the files by name
- Zip all the files named “Rhino*.log”
- Send them to me in a private message.
Could be the same issue.
where can I find your private email.
Click Brian’s profile picture and select “Message”.
Hi there, I also did my update of Rhino 6 last night as it requested. This morning there is nothing related to Rhino on my computer.
I also work on a brand new laptop. I have Windows 10.
Thank you and best regards.
Sorry for the slow replay. @asvdmerwe I wonder if restarting your computer will cause Rhino to reappear? If not, please download and run the installer from https://www.rhino3d.com/rhino-for-windows/6/latest and see if it comes back.
