Been using Rhino Inside for a while but have had a problem when introducing project north to some of our linked Revit files.
I am not able to find a way to get the same orientaton and coordinates when importing Revit geometry to Rhino when one of the files have introduced Project North. Anyone that has solved the issue?
Here is a snip of my attempt:
See this post about Site locations
There were some problems while converting those elements to text and were displayed as ‘empty’.
The problem with the ‘Site Location Identity’ and lat-long units is fixed now.
‘Query Site Locations’ and ‘Query Shared Sites’ are returning all locations and sites in the document, internal ones, related to project coord system, too.
I think we should provide a way to filter out those project related location and site elements.
The current Location and Site are returned from ‘Project Lo…
Thanks but that’s not answering my question. I am trying to see if I can transfer revit geometry between different Revit links where some have not introduced “Project North”. Do you know if this is possible?
Here is another helpful post on the topic.
Yes, by now we don’t handle Elements on linked models differently, so that geometry is in it’s own doument coordinates system.
You can do this to have the geometry in your Project coordinates.
Or a bit simpler
