Rhino.Inside.Revit build that supports Revit 2021.1.10

Hi Rhino.Inside.Revit developers,

I’m running Autodesk Revit 2021.1.10 and need the latest Rhino.Inside.Revit build that still supports Revit 2021.1.10.

I have Rhino 7 (SR 39) and Rhino 8 installed on this machine, and I’m happy to use either.

Could someone from McNeel point me to the correct installer / download link for the last compatible Rhino.Inside.Revit version (and confirm whether it’s a stable release or an RC)?

Hi GeometryCreator,

2021 is the only version i don’t have loaded, but 2020.2 is working as expected in the latest.

Hi Japhy,

thank you. It loads, however when I launch Rh8 from inside Revit using that RIR-Installer, the Rhino views are overlayed with a transparent checkerboard. It doesn’t appear when I execute Rhino8 as a stand alone program.

I tested and see this behaviour on two different machines.

Best,
GeometryCreator

That is odd,

lets try a reset to factory settings (run Reset in the Rhino command line)

A similar report (although not in RiR) turned out to be caused by the Veesus plugin.

Hi Japhy,

thank you for digging into this.
Disabling Veesus solved this.

BTW: Please don’t drop support for Revit 2021 in RIR, as it was the last edition to come out before Autodesk shifted to their unfriendly customer extortion subscription model.

All the best,
GeometryCreator

No worries, If/When we need to move on to 100% .netcore version only there will be an installer available for older versions running .netframework (revit 2021)
