I’m having problems trying to initiate Rhino.Inside.Autocad 2025. Autocad says that I don’t have access to my license server on my company’s network. But… I already have both Rhino 7 and 8 open in my computer. My company has a license server like

nameofmycompany-lic-rhino

I can open the website nameofmycompany-lic-rhino/status and see that I have access to the server AND licenses of both rhino 7 and 8 assigned to me. I am on my network. I have tried opening a vpn server too. Inside of my network. I keep having access to licenses in Rhino 7 / 8, but not in Rhino.Inside.Autocad.

I have also tried to add Acad2025 to my firewall, but still not working.

Hi Pedro,

This sounds like something for your IT dept, it looks like the need to enable Autocad on Port 80 to allow Rhino to talk to the license server.

Hi!

I’m experiencing the same issue. I tried adding port 80 to the inbound rules as suggested, but it didn’t resolve the problem. This only occurs when launching Rhino 8 inside AutoCAD. Rhino 8 opens without any issues when run on its own, and I’ve been using Rhino 8 inside Revit for a long time without any problems accessing the license server.

Any help or suggestion?

Thank you in advance,

Best!

Jaime

With the release of Rhino.Inside.Civil3D I and my work colleagues have been trying to launch this again. We have tried in 4 different computers, with Autocad/Civil 2024,25,26, with rhino 7, 8, 9 installed.

It doesn’t work.

My IT department has checked on everything… no idea why. I have downloaded Process Monitor from Microsoft and acad.exe never gets to “look for” my rhino license IP. So my take is that SOMETHING is blocking acad to look for my server. I will check every possible firewall configuration, but I’m losing faith.

In the application we start the Rhino Core and its this Core which handles all the licences so there is very little we can do to fix anything from the RiA /RiC3D side without McNeel’s help. That said, we can try and rule stuff out, which potential can help narrow down a solution. Are you seeing the same message as the above screenshots, or do you have a different message?

Yes, it’s me just with a different user in the forum 😃

I’ve managed to make it work in Civil 3D 2024. So it’s a matter of it not working on 2025 and 26. I’m running Rhino 8 SR31.

I’m not that worried now that I can work with 2024, but still concerning for the future.

Okay, that is something, one difference here is 2024 is Net 4.8 and then AutoCAD switches for 2025/2026 to Net 8. Let us do some testing and report back.

Are you able to try running Rhino 8.32 or newer and see if the problem persists?

@Pedro_Iserte and @jambacordero, @Japhy was able to reproduce the issues with the Zoo LAN and has kindly put together a fix. This is now in V **1.2.28,** if you would like to test and let us know if you have any further issues, it would be appreciated.

The solution is tied to the AutoCAD/ Civil3d Build Version so for AutoCAD 2025 make sure you have R25.0.116 or later, for AutoCAD 2026 I think all versions should be supported. If you have older versions of 2025 you will need to update them.

Many Thanks

Tom

Hi @Tom_Norris, @Japhy.

Thank you for reaching out and trying to figure it out.

I tried updating to V1.2.28. I am using RH8 SR32. I tried in AutoCAD 2025.1.3 V.171.0.0 and now I’m getting this error:

 ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/mcneel/uploads/default/original/4X/1/0/6/106c3325c589ae486fed799a3c94710ad3985587.png)

If I use AutoCAD 2026.1.1 W.164.0.0 I can’t even see the Rhino.Inside Toolbar. I tried reinstalling several times but nothing changed. I don’t know if it could be a problem, but note that I’m using AutoCAD in Spanish and Rhino is in English.

Many thanks!

Best,

Jaime

Thanks @jambacordero - this looks like our installer has fallen out of sync and not included all the dlls which were included in the fix, I’ll update it and get out a hot fix asap!

Try with [V1.2.29](https://www.bimorph.com/products/rhino-inside-autocad)now and see if the issue is now fixed.

Hi @Tom_Norris,

Sorry for the late reply. I installed the last available version (V1.3.1), and now it is working perfectly. Ready to test it out.

Thank you very much!

Best,

Jaime
