Rhino.Inside - Add truss, type not working

Hello,
am adding a structural truss setting its type but RiR is pushing a different one.
Any ideas?
am using version 1.15

thanks

in addition to that, I noticed that a curve and work plane are enough to create a truss.
It looks like the type is fixed

Hi,

same problem here with the Add Truss component (I am in version 1.18). It looks like the Add Truss component does not refresh when the Type changes, even if you have the Tracking Mode set to Update. This does not happen with the Add Wall by curve component, where if you change the Type of the input, the wall automatically updates.

It looks like the Add Truss component selects by default the latest family that you have manually selected in Revit. If you select a different family for the truss in Revit, then the output type of Add Truss changes (if you recompute the definition) or if you place a new Add Truss component.

In addition to this, I also noticed that to query a truss type the category prevents the “query type” from working, see below…

I found this thread looking for a solution to the exact same problem. The Structural Truss component is not being updated when it is given a truss type. Instead, it defaults to the last used truss type in the Revit Project.

Also, I was similarly unable to use the category and category filter components to filter truss types. It comes up as blank. This filtering workflow works for other Revit components, such as walls.

Hoping this issue gets flagged for the developers.

Hi Jonnie,

The category required is not visible via Revit UI.

I’m seeing the type issue as well, the element Type component can be used in the interim.
