Rhino freezes (spinning ball)

The latest version (downloaded 29/01/15) of Rhino for Mac freezes often (spinning ball).

I am using maximised screen (green dot) in Yosemite.

Strangely, pressing ‘cmd, alt, esc’ resolves the problem. (no need to quit Rhino)

Software and hardware are given below.

Cheers,
Anthony

Can you please describe what you do when Rhino freezes? We need to know how to duplicate this.

Hi Marlin,
Simply hitting the alt, command and esc keys together to bring up the ‘Force Quit Applications’ dialogue box. This unfreezes rhino without actually having to quit it.
In causing the freeze, I’m not sure. It didn’t seem to come from using any particular rhino command. However, I’ve gone from using the green, maximise window button in Yosemite, to not using it- i’m not sure if this was the cause as I haven’t had the freeze since i stopped using this feature. It may well be a coincidence of course.
Best regards,Anthony

Sorry, ambiguous question on my part. What I meant to ask was, what do you do that causes the freeze? You answered that you are not sure. If you do find out something consistent that causes the freeze, please let us know.

Hi Marlin,
No problem. My answer was also a bit ambiguous  I’m not really sure what caused the crash. The only thing I can think is that I was always in ‘maximized window’ mode- a new feature in Mac OSX Yosemite (hitting the green button, top left), when it happened. After that I haven’t used this feature and there were no more crashes, but it could be coincidence.
Thanks,Anthony
