Without a file with the object in question, impossible to know where the problem is. Could be a bad trim somewhere, an invalid subsurface etc… Some bad element is keeping the Rhino volume calculation from succeeding. If you run SelBadObjects, does the object select?

These guys seem to be at least part of the problem, Rhino is unable to calculate their area: [image] So, if you explode the object, find those surfaces - I used SelSmall with a value of 1 - delete those, Join all back up and Cap, the volume then works. Volume = 15093.14 (+/- 0.016) cubic millime…

Sometimes, Rhino fails to calculate valid closed polysurfaces. A workaround is to extract the render mesh and calculate its volume or mass (provided you have the SolidWeight or another script or plug-in).
