Rhino Export (or) Import Problem

Hi Everyone

I found that rhino export or import problem. I was export one solid to STEP(.stp) file and import that STEP(.stp) file into rhino. Exported solid converted to polysurface why???

The light-weight extrusion object is a Rhino-only format. When you export those objects to other formats, they will have to be converted.

Note that you can (sometimes) convert these NURBS objects back into light-weight extrusion object with a script that you can find here:

Hi Cosmas - yes, but… one by one only at this point. V6/WIP has a test command testConvertToExtrusion, and I’ll attach the py code for that, but it is a one-by-one operation, you need to specify the extrusion edge to use as a direction. I have some code to auto-select the correct edge - I’ll see if I can tune that up - right now it leaves a lot of debris laying around… ConvertToExtrusion.py (6.6 KB) (RunPythonScript) -Pascal
