Does anyone know why my video card is not listed in the cuda dropdown…thanks
The GeForce 210 only has 16 CUDA cores(as opposed to thousands on a new one,) the CUDA API hasn’t supported it in years apparently.
Hi Jim (from a long time ago your hard hat tutorial)…so I need to buy another vid card?
Hi Pat…basically yes.
You can use your cpu instead of the GPU. In this case the cpu will be faster. But, of course new video cards have thousands of GPU cores.
Cpu cores tend to be faster per core. But newer cards overwelm this disadvantage with sheer numbers.
