Hello Gijs, Thank you very much for writing this practical tool, it’s fantastic. If we could add a dot index in the u and v directions, it would be even more perfect. Sometimes we hope to see the sorting index of the dots to provide users with a better experience.

I’m not understanding. Here you’re showing a curve, so there is no v direction. Why would this help? To determine the curve direction, or something else?

That’s a great idea, Alias indicates curve-U and surface-U/V with a special CV, so you instantly see the direction of a curve or surface. Should be easy to implement.

This actually is a clever, minimalist way to show that information.

I would rather have proper circle control points and edge markings for the U and V directions. Some users also prefer to have square control points.

Rhino urgently needs these tools!

If you take a look at my proposal, it’s about adding just one letter “U” and one letter “V” near the two corresponding surface edges of the surface. Note that this is not a substitute to the existing coloured line markings. It’s a request to add two additional letter markers to the edges of the currently edited surface(s). Check my image below. FYI it was decided that this command needed to be turned back to test command shortly after it was changed to normal command.
