Rhino Crashing on Print Command (Rhino 8)

Hello, uni student here trying to export my layout with ‘Print’ command but each time I do so, Rhino crashes. I have tried turning on/off my OpenGL setting, resetting all Rhino settings and it seems any Rhino file (even empty) will crash :frowning:

I am using Rhino 8 and system info is below, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Joaquin3,

I do not see any crash reported submitted with your email. When Rhino crashes, are you filling out and submitting the crash report?

Thanks,

– Dale

Hi Dale

No I’m not, the layout screen freezes and Rhino exits on its own. I’m wondering if it’s worth to uninstall and reinstall to see if that works? But my Rhino is up to date.

Thank you!

Hi @Joaquin3,

Do you see any recent “Rhino[xyz].dmp” files in this folder:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps

If so, can you zip it and sent to our tech staff using this tool?

https://www.rhino3d.com/upload

– Dale

Uploaded the zip file now with the latest dmp file

Zip folder name: Rhino 8 Crash File.zip

Thanks again

Hi @Joaquin3,

This is what I am seeing:

Unhandled exception at 0x000001DCEBB1C774 (SU2HUD.DLL) in Rhino.exe.14128.dmp:
0xC0000417: An invalid parameter was passed to a C runtime function.

Perhaps this issue is related to yours?

Hi Dale,

Thank you for your help, I had to remove any existing printers known on my laptop, restart and then reconnect the printers. All good now
