Rhino crashes when exporting as STL

Continuing the discussion from Rhino crashes exporting stl:
Hey, I’m a beginner using Rhino 7 to create 3d printed products. However, with this particular file, im facing an issue of Rhino lagging and ultimately crashing. Tried the above methods too hinted on this page but at no avail. Please help me out. Is it a model issue or is my laptop just outdated. Below is my laptop specs: (Asus ROG gl30E 2019)
2.2 GHz Intel Core i7-8750H six-core processor
16GB of DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card
128GB NVMe PCIe SSD paired with a 1TB Seagate FireCuda SSHD
*sorry for the external link, couldn’t get the file size to be any lower, don’t know how actually.

Hi Ira,

I was able to successfully export your file (Rhino 8). Its rather large and slow but nothing inherently wrong with it.

You should receive an email with a link to download.

Please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino 7 and post your result. Thanks

I closed all other apps, so only Rhino was running.
I was watching the RAM usage on this while exporting. Even if I set the STL export tolerance to 1mm it exceeds 16Gb RAM.
If I try to extract the render mesh using the Jagged and Faster setting it still exceeds 16Gb RAM, although it used used less RAM than the STL export regardless of the tolerance setting.

Memory usage was hitting close to 18Gb with ExtractRenderMesh. Maybe closing all non critical processes in task manager would work, but I don’t think that will free up enough RAM for this to succeed within the 16Gb RAM limit
