Hi @mary I just created a new topic requesting a feature for Rhinoceros 9: having Groups also in the Block panel. Wish Feature: Block Groups
Since I really appreciate that we now have Groups in the Layouts panel, it would be very nice to see something similar implemented for Blocks in Rhinoceros 9 as well. Fingers crossed — would be great to see this in Rhino 9 too.

Hey @mary @dale this new implementation is the biggest time saver for my kind of work.
Now that there is Beta i went into testing it deeper.
Behavior:
The order of All-Layout is synchronized with Group1 and Group2 and viversa. But i would like to change the print order in my groups but keep the basic order in “All Layouts”. As it is a “link” in the groups they should be independent and not influence the “All Layouts” order.
The copy and move behavior is intuitive, nice! 
Other than that it works stable and i didn’t find any bugs. 
Still extremely important to being able to use the new function in daily work:
Textfields:
%<GroupNumPages(“GroupName”)>
%<GroupPageNumber(“GroupName”)>
RH-94130/Add-Text-Fields-for-Layout-Groups doesnt work anymore!
and options in Print settings seperate files

We have these logged.
Add these text fields:

%<GroupNumPages(“GroupName”)>
%<GroupPageNumber(“GroupName”)>
Make these text fields workable from the print dialog.

is this something that could be like the sheetset manager in AutoCAD?
Would be great if it could manage the layouts from multiple files.

We already know about this request.
This is on the list to be discussed for a future Rhino.
Linking to Layouts in multiple files much more complicated for Rhino, that arranging Layouts from one file in groups.
You can still use linked block in your model setup.
But all the layout sheets are from the current file, not the linked files.
This will will be a massive project, so expect a lot of testing whenever it makes it into a future Rhino version.
