What is BETA? We’re not adding any new features, nor are we making significant changes to the UI. We’re also done breaking the APIs, so plug-ins written for this Beta will work in the commercial release of Rhino 6.

For the next few builds, we’ll be wrapping up documentation, localization, and working with our third-party developers to get their plug-ins ported to Rhino 6.

  • Annotation: Dot: Text unreadable when dots are blue (RH-42429)
  • ApplyShutLining: Turning off the crv removes the render mesh (RH-42386)
  • Cycles:
    • Doesn’t respect the Transparent background option (RH-42413)
    • Properties panel doesn’t update when Raytraced is running (RH-42334)
    • Setting display to Raytraced crashes Rhino (RH-42332)
    • StartResolution default value is bad (zero) (RH-42376)
  • Display:
    • Can’t drag and drop material onto fully transparent object (RH-42313)
    • Cannot override locked color of curves (RH-42357)
    • Curves in X-Ray after Glass assignment (RH-42333)
    • Rhino crashes when loading the attached file. (RH-42428)
    • Video driver information is always wrong or “Not Available” (RH-42488)

LAYOUT IMPORT BUG

When importing layouts from Rhino 5 all the text is misaligned and not formatted correctly. I know it has something to do with the reworking of the text in Rhino 6 but I am wondering if there is a way to make importing Rhino 5 layout templates more streamlined. It would be a lot of work to remaking these.

You are posting this under the announcement for the November 14th beta. Which version are you running now? There have been fixes for text after November 14th…
