I found out that the RhinoV8 is somehow getting “tired” when open for the long time.
With V5 I was used to having it running in the background all the time and just opening and closing files. I can’t do it now. Rhino has become laggy over time and I have to restart it.
I suspect it may have something to do with the mac sleep mode, but it could also just be the gradual opening of projects. Anyway, something is wrong and it’s very frustrating. You can do something about it?
Note: In parallel with V8 I use V5 and it’s still perfectly ok, so this fail has to be in V8 not in my Mac.
I have a similar issue but not related with the amount of tabs.
I switched from windows to mac. Normally both R7 and R8 were working fine and I was able to open multiple heavy documents easily (M3 Max).
But by time, R7 seemed to slow down and although R8 was working fine. I don’t know why but it may related to backup files as I seem to understand. The revert function in Macos saves lots of copies of the work.
Is there a way to clean such files or do you see another problem here that I don’t get?
The YT I created shows that even after closing all files, once Rhino becomes slow there is no going back other than to restart Rhino. I don’t think this is related to versioning.
