Hi everyone,
I understand that Rhino annotations (dimensions, text, leaders) are drawn as screen-space overlays and do not participate in depth testing, which is why they are always visible through geometry in all display modes.
I’ve already tested this behavior in all display modes (Wireframe, Shaded, Rendered, and Realistic), and the result is the same — annotations are always visible through walls and roofs.
My question is: is there any native way, or a recommended workflow, to create dimensions that actually exist in 3D space and are occluded by walls, roofs, or other geometry depending on the camera view?
