I noticed that sometimes the object colour of the wireframe changes in the viewport depending on the camera distance to the surfaces. This but is not present in Rhino 7. I see it only in the most recent Rhino 9 WIP.
Here is another example of the bug. The bug is dependent of the camera rotation and distance to the objects. Not only it changes the wireframe colour of the objects, it also changes the thickness of the wireframe by doubling it then it’s closer to the camera.
I didn’t have any issues opening the file on my end. I’m currently running it on an RTX 3090 with the latest WIP version.
Could it be a GPU driver issue? Or maybe something related to your custom viewports(which I absolutely love, by the way)? I actually added two of your custom viewports—V-Alias and V-Car paint—in the WIP version, and they work perfectly fine for me.
I don’t think that my display modes are causing the issues, because that bug was there even after I installed the WIP as brand new fresh install with zero customization. As you can see from my videos, even the default “Wireframe” and “Shaded” modes are affected.
I have a relatively new GPU driver and it’s not causing the bug either.
I remember that several months ago I read in some topic about a possible change in the behaviour of the surface wireframe to make it easier to render curves or surfaces edges that were extracted from the surfaces. Not sure if that was ever implemented or not, but it’s suspicious that the wireframe thickness doubles as I move the camera closer to the objects.
