I get an issue with text that is resizing really small, and then if you grab the little node point on the right of the text box and move it to the right with the gumball, the text gets big again???
I have saved an example that does it on my pc. Hopefully, it replicates your end as well
If you try to add another character or a space at the end of the word test, hopefully, you will see what happens on my pc.
In fact, when I just select the text, the properties box docked on the right of the screen shows the text details, you can add a space or whatever in there, and see it change the text on the main screen. And note it is not changing the actual text height or scale in the properties, just the text in the work area changes size. Then moving the text box right hand node resets the size on the screen.
Hopefully this makes sense and does it your end.
