Anyone else having Rhino9 WIP crash their Mac? I have an M1 Max Mac btw. Crash occurs when I try to use constraints. I get the dreaded beachball of death.
Hi -
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo
command and copy-paste the result here.

they brought constraints back?

Can you post a simple model that behaves like this on your system?
When you say that Rhino crashes, does the crash reporter pop up? I see that you supplied a crash report a few weeks ago, but if you can reproduce a crash with the current version of the WIP, please send in that report. If “beachball of death” means that Rhino hangs and you need to force-quit it, please send in a manual dump file.

I really hope they’re working on it. I work with laser cut cardboard and a functional Constraints function would be a game changer.
Constraints crash on Win computer, too:
- Created constraints sketch
- Selected 4 lines and one circle
- Hit enter > crash
I was not able to recreate this.
However… I have no clue how to work with Rhino constraints at all.
Hi Petr -
When Rhino crashed, did the crash reporter pop up?
Does that mean that you used the exact same steps but Rhino didn’t crash all the other times that you did this?
-wim
No popup after the first crash. I repeated just once after that first crash, but already without crashing. P
Thanks for the feedback, Petr!
Constraints won’t be in Rhino 9, but please continue to report crashes when you see them. It’s always good to fix those when we can reproduce them.
