Hello! Glad you asked… where to start.
High priority: get rid of these blue mini boxes when docking a panel, please. They ain’t for nothing other than target practice. The big target area should be directly highlighted, just like it was before, and like it’s in most other applications with dockable panels.

Has anybody talked about the Material panel yet?
There’s room for improvement, right?
- Do we really need this field up there showing the material name? How about just showing the search field?
- When right-clicking it, some funny little box shows up there:
- When clicking the magnifier icon, there’s a width problem:
- Could the search field just look like the new layer panel one’s? Much nicer.
Material parameter panel:
- Generally, it’s better not to place more than one parameter in a row.
The name field can get too small, the color choosers next to ‘gloss finish’, ‘reflectivity’ and ‘transparency’ are tiny. Sliders become unnecessary short. - These sliders to the right are quite bright in dark mode:
- Please get rid of this ‘click to add texture’ text. The icon will do fine. Maybe add a tooltip. Gives the slider much more room, and the parameter names need not be abbreviated.
- The + icon to add a new material

could as well sit in the header of the material panel. It can be scrolled ‘off panel’ as it is, and it just does not look well placed amidst the material thumbnails.
Icons of such functionality could be placed just like in the layer panel:
Generally:
You can lough, but could all buttons have rounded corners, please?
E.g. those in the property panel:

There’s a lot of inconsistency already. Windows 11 has rounded corners, which I for my part like.

Some panels already have them (besides this one is not dark mode ready as it seems):

I think rounded cornes help identify buttons more easily as such. Also, the ‘old’ cornered ones just look… uncharitable. Dry. Like you don’t care much.

That’s it for now. Thanks!
