Rhino 8 stops responding when trying to open existing files

I am new to Rhino and have discovered that both in Trial version of Rhino 8 and now licensed version, I keep getting the ’Not responding” problem and need to force quit the app. I can open the file from within Rhino. What I have noticed is that Rhino takes a long time to open?

I was going to attach my System Information file but not sure how to do that to this text.

I would love to know how to fix this. Thanks

Is this happening in particular files? Can you post or send us one?

These are typically materials trying to find resources from drives that don’t exist. Disconnecting from the internet is helpful in troubleshooting those cases.
