Rhino 8 Selection Anomaly

I have here three panels (exported from a more complex model where I first noticed the issue) and I want to select them with mouse clicks and the shift key. If I click near the centre of each panel this works as expected. If I start by clicking near the top or bottom of the leftmost panel I cannot select the other two unless I click on an edge.

If the first panel I select is not the leftmost then I don’t get this problem.

Jeremy, Can you make a new video showing the Window change that affects the behavior? I’ll get a youtrack going. Thanks!

Sure, here you go:

And as a bonus, here’s one showing how a simple change of position makes all panels selectable:

Can you try one more thing, if possible. Are you seeing the same behavior in Rhino 7?

No - I saved the demo file as an R7 version, set the viewport in R7 to the same dimensions as the one in R8, checked camera and target settings were the same, checked that, as far as possible, the display options are the same, and I cannot get the selection to fail like it does in R8. I had the option to show isocurves for flat surfaces off in R8 so I turned them on to match the R7 display and rechecked R8: the setting made no difference. I also checked that the R7 version of the file still exhibited the problem in R8: it does.
