Recently I noticed that the QuadRemesh command will output duplicate meshes if you select the Preview option. For example:
- Draw a cylinder
- Run the QuadRemesh command
- Tick the Preview option and let it generate
- Click Ok
That causes two duplicate meshes to be created as the output.
On the other hand, selecting the Convert to SubD option outputs a single SubD as expected, with or without selecting the Preview option.

Thanks I was able to repeat this as well. We will get this patched up in an upcoming v8 service release. Here’s a ticket to follow. https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-84220/QuadRemesh-creates-duplicate-mesh
