how do I remove or avoid plug-in warnings in Rhino 8 ?? standalone installation of xNURBS was attempted but never successfully completed!!

Hi Artesmith,
How was the installation done? If via package manager you can uninstall from there as well.
If you installed manually you can go to the grasshopper folders and delete from there.
Run the GrasshopperFolders command in Rhino, select Components, then close Rhino before deleting the plugin.
If it was a 3rd party installer they may have made their own folder and added a path. You would need to find that location and delete.
Japhy-
thanks for jumping in! how does one go about “finding and deleting” a file(s) added by a 3rd party vendor? haven’t found a global search tool or a configuration log that could be used to identify files…. would downloading a clean copy from McNeel work?

Ideally it would be installed via the Package Manager and removed from there as well.
In the case of Xnurbs they are installing with a .rhi, which they configured to install similarly to the package manager.
Go to: C:\Users\ YourUserName \AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0
Then delete the xnurbs folder (while Rhino is closed)

Hi Art -
Copy and paste the following into the Windows Explorer path field:
%appdata%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0
-wim
Hi Art -
I don’t have xNURBS, so I don’t know where it is installed, but Japhy said to look in the 8.0 folder in the folder that you are showing in that image.
Alternatively, search for all things “xNURBS” on your hard drive?
-wim
I used their latest installer to determine the install location I provided above. The alternative is to search xnurbs* for the folder as Wim suggested.
thanks guys, “brute force” finally got the job done!
