Rhino 8 - Notification Popup

The majority of the time when I open Rhino 8 I get the red Notification popup saying that my Rhino 7 license has been voided:

Then if I open Rhino 7 in the backgorund it changes to this in Rhino 8:

Why does this happen? How can I stop this from happening?

Something weird just happened. This morning I’ve been working in Rhino 8 for about 30 mins, then I opened Rhino 7 in the background, and two things happened:

  1. I saw this notification popup in Rhino 7:

  2. Then Rhino 8 just straight up closed on its own in the background. Luckily I had just saved, so I didn’t lose any work.

I then closed Rhino 7, re-launched Rhino 8, re-launched Rhino 7 and the notification in 7 now says this instead:

I wonder if this will help explain what I’ve been experiencing with this problem: Rhino 8 Forced Closing
