I’ve posted specific issues in separate threads (menus vanishing, then reappearing after launches and quits) and other stuff, but while there’s specific command help for most of the “new” stuff there’s not an overarching explanation of the workflow and how all this fits together.
Like I’m creating containers with very little understanding of the how’s and why’s as an attempt to get back to my normal workflow.
And for the life of me why grid snap / ortho / planar / gumball have all been related to the bottom of the screen in tiny little fonts making it very tough for my 60 year old eyes to read and locate on a 4K monitor is a challenge.
I finally managed to figure out windows enough to create a dedicated container for layouts to land that on the right side, only to discover a button for that (and the views as well) exists at the bottom of the “viewport” area which had previously been at the top (sorta). It is NOT second nature to look down for this stuff, as the majority of the UI that one interacts with (top window menus, left toolbars, main “Menubar menus” etc are up top so it’s really hard to looks down and they’re too small on a 4k making them hard to make out, particularly with the current lack of contrast on the fonts that seems to be all the rage these days. While it looks “elegant” it sure is rough for those of us in a post cataract world.
I can’t find any means of changing what’s shown there, or how to move it back to the top of the window, or how to resize the items:
The views used to be up top (and much larger and more legible).
Likewise the toggle buttons for grid snap / ortho / planer etc.
Can these be moved? If not can they be increased size wise to make them easier to find?
On a 4k display they pretty much vanish in the bigger picture:
