Rhino 8, fly out description

i don’t get the fly out description of the command when i hover over it with the cursor, ??

Hi -

Is that a toolbar button?
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.
-wim

I expect they mean they are not seeing the button tooltips… This has been reported a number of times lately.

Yes, it’s on the tool bar buttons, no fly outs,

The linked toolbars don’t flyout when you hover over the main button, only when you click the arrow or click and hold for a short time…

Tooltips (descriptions) should appear when you hover over a button. Except when they don’t…

hi, thanks, in rhino 7, i get a fly out when i hover the cursor over any of the tool bar buttons, my tool bar or any rhino tool bars, in rhino 8, i don’t get any fly out description for any of the command tool bar buttons, i’m thinking this feature is turned off some where ?

if i run system information and click copy all, then close that window, wait a few seconds, the fly out descriptions start working but when i close rhino and open it again, the fly out doesn’t work,

You’re talking about this right? (V7)

That is called a “Tooltip”, and yes, it is supposed to fly out on hover.

There do seem to be some current problems with the tooltip display for some people. I don’t know if anyone has figured out the cause of the problem though.

Please post that info here…

Yes sir, that is what I’m talking about, so this is a rhino 8 bug / problem right ?

Yes, intermittently and with certain users. Please post your SystemInfo so that they can add your info as to the people/systems affected.
