Importing a dwg or a dxf with Rhino 8, single line text that was created exporting the file from Rhino 8 disapears.
These text objects show up juste fine when importing with Rhino 7.

Hi Patrick,

Please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino 8 and post the result.

I was not able to repeat given the steps provided, can you post an example file as well?

Thanks

Also find the file in question:

shell_235.dxf (185.8 KB)

I am seeing a similar result on the import (no text).

What setting did you use on export? Can you post the original file as well? Thanks

Hi Japhy,
It is the original file as it is created thru a grasshopper script that decomposes a boat structure into individual parts for cutting.
I am using the elefront export generic block.

Trying to identify the pattern to make a youtrack RH-84045. I need steps the developer can repeat.

Seeing some odd behaviors.

Sometimes in a new instance of Rhino insert the .dxf works fine, if not reinserting does show the text. In the same instance create a new file, open or import works fine. I might have to go with that for the bug report and see what they say.
