Rhino 8 does not show the lines or shapes created

Hello,

I am experiencing an unusual issue in Rhino 8 and I haven’t been able to solve it. When I try to draw any curve (line, polyline, circle, etc.), the preview does not appear. That is, after clicking the first point and moving the cursor to place the second point, no temporary guide or shape is displayed. It feels as if I’m drawing “blind.”

The curves are created, but they only become visible when I select them. When I click elsewhere, the curve becomes invisible again, even though it still exists in the file. Additionally, in some cases, what should be a circle only appears as a kind of control polygon or cage, even when control points are not activated.

I have already tried the following:

Turning SmartTrack on and off

Checking and restoring display modes

Making sure control points are turned off (F11)

Restarting Rhino and resetting some settings

However, the issue persists. This mainly happens in the “Top” view, but I’ve also noticed it in the other viewports.

I would really appreciate any guidance on what might be causing this lack of preview and the disappearance of curves when they are not selected.

Thank you very much for your time.

Best regards.

Is there a Clippingplane involved?

Hi @Jose_Guevara
First thing to do is to run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and post the result here - that’ll help in identifying a potential solution. Sounds like a graphics driver issue.

I have worked with previous versions of the program and I haven’t had any errors. I can open projects and they appear, but I am not allowed to create or edit anything. Everything I do disappears, and instead, when I click, this mesh appears.

Hi Jose -

I’m afraid that hardware is a poor fit to run Rhino on.
Please start by opening the Notifications panel and then follow the links to updated drivers for that device.

If Wim’s solution doesn’t work, the next thing I would suggest would be to lower the OpenGL level on the OpenGL settings page in Rhino by 1 tick.

le moví hasta que funciono, eres un crack Gracias
