We’ve started to use R8 and several of us are experiencing that Rhino generates mulitples copys from one copy paste. Same issue for PC and Mac users. Between 2 and up to 20 copys from one operation, happens in different files.

for lighter models it is quite easy to hold in ctrl+v and does not take long before it creates multiple copies very rapidly is there any key press delay setting maybe?
holding down paste longer creates _PasteSvg randomly in command window and these strange curves nearby just tested with a sphere and then copy and hold paste
It behaves the same for me in 7 and 8 and WIP, holding ctrl-V will after a delay start repeating, which seems to be normal Windows behavior.
I don’t think Rhino has anything to do with this pasting too much or not at all, I think your keyboard is failing. Happened to me not long ago on an obnoxiously expensive keyboard.
i was also thinking this is normal windows as its usually a quick tap so i never hold it down but what i showed in v5 is preferable i think holding down paste does not repeat until you tap v again and again
was this changed later on maybe? i went from v5 to v8 so im not familiar whats in between
i tried with a brand new keyboard now so its not failing just to rule that out
→ That is described in the YT issue. RH-85833 Paste: Ctrl+V Fires Off Multiple Pastes
Clearly something changed between Rhino 5 and 6 but that doesn’t mean any of this really is a bug, and it definitely doesn’t mean that this is what the OP is running into.

It’s mostly two of my colleagues that are experiencing this. I’ll check if this might be the problem.
I think I might have found the problem to why I had it and it was because the default setting for Boolean subtract is set to keep tool and cutter, I think R7 only had one of those options? I boolean a lot and suddenlyand it generated several instacnes for me.
