I’m getting the error loading - SdRhinoStargateClient.rhp error when opening Shapediver in Rhino8.
Also would be nice if it could be built towards .net core if it isnt already.

Please use the SetDotNetRuntime command of Rhino 8 to switch to .NET Framework. The error message you are getting should suggest this, does it?
