Rhino 8 bug

I have a closed polysurface modeling that seems ok, but when meshing it goes wrong.
Are you interested to get the 3DM file ?

Is your object very far from the World origin? This can affect meshing.

No, model is near origin.
I exploded the solid and mesh the surface alone: same pb.

Guess we’ll need to see the model then… (or at least a part of it that shows the problem).

surface.3dm (110.2 KB)

I delete and reconstruct the affected surface so it is ok now.
This model was entirely done in Rhino 7~8. I don’t know what could have happened…

What are your mesh settings? Seems to mesh OK here with Jagged and Faster or Smooth and Slower.

My bad…
I used custom settings with aspect ratio limited to 6 and without the “simple planes”.

Yep, I see that, that’s a good bug, only the combination of simple planes unchecked and a nonzero aspect ratio causes it. Will get a bug track item going for this, thanks for reporting!

Note, I see the same thing happening in V7!

Any news about this bug?
Always there in Rhino 8.5.24051.15001, 2024-02-20

The bug appear also appear when simple planes is unchecked and a nonzero MAXIMUM EDGE LENGTH.
