[Rhino 8 Bug] Unable to turn on a layer in layer panel

at around 1 minute mark, you can see i was trying to turn the Layer “0“ on, but it doesn’t get turned on. Some objects flashes up but they disappear again.

I can PM you the source file.

How to reproduce:

  1. Create a new file

  2. import the file

  3. try turning on Layer “0”

Upon a couple more tries, I found out the Layer Panel is not updating after importing. I tried to create new layers and after a couple more clicks, rhino crashes

Hey wim. it happens again today. in another file, the Layer UI crashes again.

I don’t think it is file specific. It happens when the file size is large and there are a lot of geometries.

After restarting the Layer Panel, it works again, like below

The problem happens to me 10-20 times a day. (this issue is quite unbearable)

Usually the Layer Panel crashes after rhino does some heavy operation.
