Hello. I’m used to Rhinogold, but I decided to try Artisan and I really liked it. However, I couldn’t use it ideally in the R8 layout. Instead, I opened the new Artisan interface. Does it work well within R8, or is the ideal way to work in its own interface?
The windows are small and overlap, making it difficult to choose the drawing properties.
The ideal way to work is simply the one you prefer! The core functionality is exactly the same whether you use the native Rhino interface or the dedicated RhinoArtisan interface. The main advantage of the RhinoArtisan interface is just that it keeps specific jewelry tools closer at hand for a more streamlined workflow.
Regarding compatibility and the layout issues you mentioned: RhinoArtisan works perfectly with Rhino 7, Rhino 8, and even the Rhino 9 WIP. If you choose to work within the standard R8 layout, you don’t have to deal with small or overlapping windows. RhinoArtisan uses different panels to display design information and adjust parameters. You can easily dock these panels into your sidebars, exactly like you would with any standard Rhino panel, to keep your workspace clean and organized.
