Rhino 8 and space navigator issue

just downloaded rhino 8. coming from rhino 6. the space navigator mouse will not tilt left or right. many of the functions needed to be reversed to match the same movement of what it did rhino 6 but i got all that sorted out. the left right tilt though does nothing. that function is turned on in the mouse software. using the spacemouse command in rhino to check and it appears they are calling it “roll”. tilt is fwd and backwards. anyone else see this or have a solution.
